Surfacing From A Book Fine Art Print

This museum-grade fine art print reproduces an original oil painting by Vanessa Brassey on a found vintage book cover. Depicting a swimmer suspended beneath the surface of turquoise water, the painting captures a fleeting moment of weightlessness, where the figure dissolves into shifting light, reflections and movement.

The original work transforms a second-hand book into an unexpected canvas, allowing the physical structure of the book, including its spine and worn edges, to become part of the composition.

An open edition, printed to order using archival pigment inks on Hahnemühle fine art paper, selected for its subtly textured surface, warm white tone and ability to capture the brushwork and character of the original oil painting.
